North Mississippi Health Services is currently seeking a per diem / prn Ultrasound Technologist for a flexible position in the healthcare sector.

The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for delivering high-quality and cost-effective diagnostic imaging services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting Physicians and medical personnel during procedures as necessary.
  • Providing exceptional customer service in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Effectively communicating with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participating in mandatory training sessions, annual reviews, and educational opportunities.
  • Maintaining knowledge of imaging procedures, equipment, and supplies.
  • Staying updated on advancements in Radiology.
  • Adhering to the policies and procedures of North Mississippi Health Services.
  • Complying with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Organizing workflow to minimize delays and manage costs through appropriate supply usage.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
  • Ability to work independently while ensuring quality standards.
  • Registered with ARDMS or AIUM.
  • Preferred: Registration with the American Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Preferred: Licensure by the State of Mississippi (MRT).
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with diverse patient populations, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
