The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality and cost-effective diagnostic imaging procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting physicians and medical personnel during imaging procedures as needed.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Effectively communicating with patients, families, physicians, and medical staff.
  • Participating in mandatory in-services, annual reviews, and educational programs.
  • Maintaining knowledge of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment utilized in radiological examinations.
  • Staying updated on advancements in the field of Radiology.
  • Adhering to the policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by NMHS/NMMC.
  • Complying with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Organizing workflow to minimize delays and manage costs through prudent supply usage.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
  • Ability to work independently to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Registered by ARDMS or AIUM.
  • ARRT registration preferred.
  • Mississippi state licensure (MRT) preferred.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Experience with diverse patient populations, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
