The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality and cost-effective diagnostic imaging procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting physicians and medical personnel during imaging procedures as needed.
- Delivering exceptional customer service with accuracy and efficiency.
- Effectively communicating with patients, families, physicians, and medical staff.
- Participating in mandatory in-services, annual reviews, and educational programs.
- Maintaining knowledge of procedures, positions, supplies, and equipment utilized in radiological examinations.
- Staying updated on advancements in the field of Radiology.
- Adhering to the policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by NMHS/NMMC.
- Complying with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Organizing workflow to minimize delays and manage costs through prudent supply usage.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
- Ability to work independently to ensure quality outcomes.
- Registered by ARDMS or AIUM.
- ARRT registration preferred.
- Mississippi state licensure (MRT) preferred.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Experience with diverse patient populations, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
