North Mississippi Health Services is in search of a per diem Ultrasound Technologist for a flexible role in the healthcare sector.

The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality and cost-effective diagnostic imaging services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting physicians and medical personnel during ultrasound procedures as needed.
  • Providing exceptional customer service with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Effectively communicating with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participating in mandatory training sessions, annual reviews, and educational programs.
  • Maintaining knowledge of ultrasound procedures, positioning, supplies, and equipment.
  • Staying updated on advancements in radiological practices.
  • Adhering to North Mississippi Health Services policies and procedures.
  • Complying with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Organizing workflow to minimize delays and manage costs through prudent supply usage.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
  • Ability to work independently while ensuring quality standards.
  • Registered with ARDMS or AIUM.
  • Preferred: Registration with the American Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Preferred: Licensure by the State of Mississippi (MRT).
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Experience with a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
