We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic procedures and providing excellent customer service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis.
- Assist physicians and medical staff during procedures as requested or required.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and medical staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, physicians, and medical staff to ensure accurate and efficient care.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in radiology and adhere to NMHS/NMMC policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Organize workflow to prevent delays and control costs through appropriate use of supplies.
- Graduate of an approved school of ultrasound technology.
- Ability to work independently to ensure quality.
- Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM).
- Registered by the American Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
- Licensed by the State of Mississippi (MRT) preferred.
- American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills required.
