Role Summary: We are looking for an IT Support Technician who is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and possesses strong communication abilities. This position will be responsible for providing Tier 1 technical support and assistance for incoming inquiries and issues related to computer systems, software applications, and hardware components. You will respond to user requests in person, via phone, or through email utilizing the IT ticketing system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the initial point of contact for users seeking technical support.
- Efficiently manage Help Desk tickets to ensure timely resolution.
- Diagnose, investigate, and resolve basic technical issues related to hardware and software.
- Recognize and escalate urgent issues that require immediate attention.
- Provide desktop support for all user devices and applications.
- Oversee PC maintenance, including inventory management, repairs, and new deployments through vendors.
- Assist the Systems Administrator with various system and network-related tasks.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all hardware and software assets.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Windows 10
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory
- Familiarity with Antivirus solutions (Endpoint and Server)
- Understanding of PC hardware components
- Basic network troubleshooting skills, including wired and wireless connectivity
- Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in desktop support. A+, MCSA certification is advantageous.
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify and resolve basic technical issues effectively.
- Familiarity with printers and copiers
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
