Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Federal Relations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive federal government relations strategy, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and advocating for the City's interests at the federal level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a federal government relations strategy aligned with the City's goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with members of Congress, congressional staff, federal agencies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Advocate for the City's positions and priorities through direct lobbying, coalition-building, and participation in industry associations.
  • Monitor federal legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the City's interests and provide timely analysis and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, public policy, political science, communication, or a directly related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in federal government relations, lobbying, public agency employment, or related roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex issues and develop actionable recommendations.
