We are seeking an experienced sales professional to drive success in the wholesale lumber, building materials, and forest products industry.

Job Overview

This full-time onsite role reports to the Branch Manager and involves cultivating customer relationships, achieving sales and margin goals, managing product delivery, and maintaining market awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed annual sales and gross margin targets.
  • Develop new business through lead generation and prospecting.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty by monitoring account performance and acting proactively.
  • Coordinate and oversee product shipments, collaborating with logistics and account management teams.
  • Conduct market research to inform pricing and sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams to align supply with customer demand.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A proven track record of sales success, ideally 10 years in the building materials or construction industries.
  • Established relationships with general contractors or framers, especially in the multi-family space (preferred).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Growth-oriented, self-starter with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tools; a 4-year degree is preferred.

Compensation Package

  • A competitive commission-based pay structure with a monthly draw.
  • Biannual commission settlements (summer and winter).
