Role Overview

We're seeking a highly motivated Strategic Public Sector Sales Manager to join our team. As an Account Executive-SLED, you'll focus on formulating and executing sales strategies within named state, local, and education divisions. Our FedRAMP-authorized products have received industry recognition across Federal, State, and Local government agencies.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new prospects and expand existing accounts in the public sector
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to educate customers about their industry needs and offer insights on IT solutions
  • Analyze competitors to educate customers on the value of our solutions
  • Continuously pursue quota goals by working directly with customers during negotiations
  • Collaborate with a virtual account team to deploy the customer engagement lifecycle, including marketing for lead generation, business development representatives for lead qualification, pre-sales engineers for technical support, and customer success managers for renewals
  • Attend and participate in customer team meetings and communicate regularly with professional services and engineering staff to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Leverage industry partnerships to grow AvePoint's presence in your region and establish proactive relationships with influential individuals
  • Handle post-sales support issues, such as escalation of support calls and identifying additional training needs
Requirements
  • 3+ years of full life cycle closing experience, focusing on net new business
  • Prior experience selling into public sector accounts
  • Prior experience prospecting into state and local government agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology
  • A track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
  • Skill in building business champions and running complex sales processes
  • Previous sales methodology training (e.g., MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Challenger Sales)
