Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling employees within the department, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing downtime.
  • Contribute to food ordering, inventory management, and menu cycle creation, working closely with the Executive Chef to ensure our culinary offerings meet the highest standards.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.
  • Minimize food waste by utilizing food storage and recycling techniques, reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainability.
  • Supervise and manage Cooks, Lead Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Utility Workers as needed, providing guidance and support to help them succeed in their roles.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working in a commercial kitchen environment and/or a related certificate or degree from a college or technical school.
  • ServSafe or other required local, county, or state certifications.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and residents.
  • A passion for quality and presentation, with a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of cooking and meal preparation techniques, with a thorough understanding of food service requirements.
