About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and supervision to staff in the department, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department, supporting and administering operational goals and monitoring achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with management any scheduling concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Administer all aspects of food preparation, ensuring the kitchen is clean, well-stocked, and problem-free.
  • Cost Control and Compliance: Support maintaining of cost control methods and procedures by monitoring consistent pars and inventory in each restaurant, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service: Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist with maintaining established quality assurance procedures to ensure acceptable health department and customer service standards.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; minimum of two years culinary experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Communication and Technical Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook), and ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public, and ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexible to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
