Position Overview:

Are you eager to leverage your technical expertise while contributing to significant national security space initiatives? Your understanding of the client's operational environment and your ability to craft appropriate systems for their missions are vital. Your skill in converting practical requirements into technical specifications positions you as a key player in delivering engineering solutions focused on client needs.

In this role, you will collaborate with Booz Allen colleagues, various support contractors, and personnel from the U.S. Space Force to design and implement the next generation of strategic military satellite communication capabilities. You will play a crucial role within the Evolved Strategic Satcom (ESS) Ground Branch, supporting the ESS Program Management team as the Ground Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME). Your responsibilities will include ensuring that modifications to the ground operations floor at multiple sites and the transition to operational activities align with program requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Over 15 years of experience in systems engineering, acquisition, or operations within DoD space systems.
  • Proven track record in transitioning space systems from acquisition phases to operational deployment within the U.S. Space Force.
  • Expertise in stakeholder coordination and managing complex project requirements.
  • Leadership experience overseeing diverse teams of contractors, government entities, and operational efforts to deliver capabilities to the warfighter.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Space Force NC3 operational stakeholders.
  • Understanding of operational unit requirements, including training and sustainment facilities.
  • Ability to integrate complex programmatic needs to facilitate the fielding and operational acceptance of new space systems.
  • Willingness to travel within the U.S. as needed.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with military SATCOM systems for at least 2 years.
  • Familiarity with SpOC Delta 8 for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Experience working with the new U.S. Space Force Integrated Mission Delta and System Delta constructs.
  • Experience in training operations and maintenance personnel and evaluating the readiness of new space control systems.
  • Background in operating military satellites and ground control systems in support of U.S. Space Force and U.S. Space Command missions.
  • Experience in building and modifying satellite operations facilities.
  • Knowledge of commercial space operations facilities.
  • A Master's degree is a plus.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

The salary for this position is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The projected compensation range is $96,600.00 to $220,000 annually.

Work Environment:

Our culture prioritizes flexibility and collaboration, whether in-person or remote. If this position is remote or hybrid, you will work from a Booz Allen or client site as needed. If onsite, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients in person.
