In this position, you will collaborate with Booz Allen colleagues, various support contractors, and U.S. Space Force personnel to design and implement the next generation of strategic military satellite communication capabilities. As a key member of the Evolved Strategic Satcom (ESS) Ground Branch, you will support the ESS Program Management team as the ESS Ground Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME), ensuring that modifications to ground operations floors at multiple sites and the transition to operational activities align with program requirements. Your knowledge and innovative mindset will be crucial in delivering capabilities that address emerging threats. This role may require travel within the United States to meet client demands.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in systems engineering, acquisition, or operations related to DoD space systems
  • Proven experience in transitioning space systems from acquisition phases to operational deployment within the USSF
  • Expertise in stakeholder coordination and managing complex project requirements
  • Experience leading diverse teams of contractors, government entities, and operational units to deliver capabilities for warfighters
  • Familiarity with USSF NC3 operational stakeholders
  • Understanding of operational unit requirements, including training and sustainment facilities
  • Ability to integrate multifaceted programmatic and customer needs for the successful fielding of new space systems
  • Willingness to travel within the United States as needed
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with military SATCOM systems
  • Experience working with SpOC Delta 8
  • Familiarity with the new USSF Integrated Mission Delta and System Delta framework
  • Experience in training operations and maintenance personnel and evaluating the readiness of new space control systems
  • Experience operating military satellites and ground control systems in support of USSF and USSPACECOM missions
  • Experience in building and modifying satellite operations facilities
  • Experience with commercial space operations facilities
  • Master's degree in a relevant field

Clearance Requirements:

Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Secret clearance is mandatory.

The projected salary range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 annually, depending on various factors such as location, education, skills, and experience.

Work Environment:
