SAIC is in search of a seasoned and dynamic Lead Systems Architect to provide support for the US Space Force, specifically within the Space Systems Command. This role focuses on the operational upkeep and long-term sustainability of ground-based radar systems that are vital for US and Allied strategic missile monitoring, alerting, defense, and space observation missions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates the systematic and logical transformation of product specifications into comprehensive systems solutions that consider technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints.
- Conducts functional assessments, timeline evaluations, detailed trade analyses, requirements distribution, and interface definition studies to convert client specifications into hardware and software or engineering standards.
- Offers precise and detailed insights for the selection and implementation of techniques and tools that provide the most effective solutions to fulfill business objectives, including current and future capacity needs.
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Capability to secure a Secret Clearance.
- Experience in developing and/or maintaining national security, mission-critical systems.
- Proven track record in leading transitions from waterfall to agile methodologies, aimed at delivering Minimum Viable Products consistently.
- Familiarity with a diverse array of system types: custom-developed hardware/software, COTS/GOTS hardware/software, and specialized engineering of rare materials.
- High proficiency in using DOORs.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining distributed systems, virtual operating system environments, and virtual/augmented reality technologies.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Experience in systems engineering, Model-based Systems Engineering, and related fields, including managing teams/projects that deliver solutions for missile warning or other national security space mission systems.
- Understanding of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and its associated enterprise.
- Experience in maintaining networks for national security missions.
SAIC is open to receiving applications on an ongoing basis without a specified deadline.
