Job Summary
We are looking for a talented individual to assist in transitioning the Next Generation Operational Control Segment (OCX) from the acquisition phase to operations and sustainment. As a GPS Ground Systems Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for creating transition procedures and meticulous event planning to showcase capabilities and instill confidence, aiding Space Force in making fielding decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in transitioning the OCX from acquisition to operations and sustainment
- Create transition procedures and event planning to showcase capabilities and instill confidence
- Collaborate with personnel from acquisition, operations, and sustainment, as well as development contractors
- Develop risk mitigation courses of action and assess impacts of risks and proposed changes
- Knowledge of DoD GPS software and systems engineering
- Ability to organize and lead technical interchange meetings
- Craft and brief strategic communications to leadership
- Experience with the achievement of key DoD acquisition milestones and acquisition decision events
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 10+ years of experience working with Space Operations Command or Space Systems Command customers
- Experience with OCX ground system development, architecture, or system performance assessment
- Secret Clearance is Required
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with DoD acquisition system, life cycle planning, operations, or logistics and sustainment
- 5+ years of experience with command and control of space vehicles or ground system operations
- Experience in transitioning systems from acquisition to Operations and Sustainment
- Experience developing, writing, or executing test or plans
