Job Overview

AST is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team in Tacoma. As a key member of our quality department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of quality in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured parts using calibrated tooling and equipment.
  • Identify and document errors and out-of-tolerance parts, providing recommendations for corrective action.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality procedures and processes.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate laser marking equipment and perform passivation and chemical cleaning of manufactured parts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a quality or inspection role.
  • Strong understanding of quality principles and practices, including GD&T and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds and sit or stand for extended periods.
