Quality Control Specialist

AST is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team in Tacoma. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. You will be responsible for inspecting manufactured parts, notating errors and out-of-tolerance parts, and following all departmental procedures and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect manufactured parts using calibrated tooling such as micrometers and various gauges.
- Notate errors and out-of-tolerance parts during inspection on drawings.
- Follow all departmental procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain a safe work environment through ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assist in developing procedures to ensure quality and increased productivity.
- A 2-year technical degree, or 2+ years of relevant experience in an inspection or measurement role.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
- A strong mechanical aptitude.
- A strong attention to detail.
- The ability to effectively communicate with others and positively motivate team members.
