Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in San Diego, California, where we define possible.

In this role, you will engage in an embedded technology environment to develop software utilizing real-time operating systems for flight and mission-critical systems.

We design complex aircraft systems employing the latest technologies, including simulation, cloud computing, DevSecOps, and cybersecurity, which can rapidly evolve to deliver enhanced capabilities for fielded systems, modernizing in partnership with our customers to meet their most intricate missions.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, deployment, and documentation of data center infrastructure, requiring domain knowledge of existing areas.
Automate manual data center processes using automation tools (Ansible, Python, Bash, etc.).
Support the development of CI/CD processes.
Engineer and automate deployments for data center system configurations.
Execute engineering projects within established timelines.
Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and refine documented procedures.
Implement engineering changes to the system as necessary.
Integrate and test software and/or hardware systems within complex IT environments.
Work closely with Engineers and Technicians in a laboratory setting.
Demonstrate strong planning, coordination, and documentation skills.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented, possessing the following qualifications:


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with containerization of software services (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience in deploying, configuring, and securing virtual machines.
Infrastructure automation experience with tools such as Ansible, Packer, Terraform, etc.
Basic knowledge of Backup/Storage and Network technologies.
Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain (and maintain) special program access (PAR) prior to start.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Agile methodology.
Experience with version control, preferably GIT.
Knowledge of Cloud Platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Ability to create and maintain technical installation, configuration, and update documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
Active DoD S or TS Clearance.
Active PAR.

Salary Range:
$87,200 - $130,800


The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
