Healthcare Support Specialist

Duke University Health System is committed to providing exceptional care and services to patients. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
About the RoleThis position requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and support. As a Nursing Care Assistant I, you will be responsible for assisting with daily patient care activities, such as preparing patients for procedures, obtaining vital signs, and providing personal care. You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
The estimated annual salary for this position is around $43,000-$48,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for procedures and provide manual assistance as required
- Obtain and record patient data for medical records
- Administer treatment and personal care procedures to patients
- Participate in teaching activities by reinforcing teaching instructed by RN and/or physician as needed
- Assist physician and nurses with physical examinations
You will need to have a current Nurse Aide I Registry listing with the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation, graduation from high school or GED, and Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association.
