Role Summary:

  • The Procurement Analyst position is responsible for providing procurement assistance for the Business Unit, including the placement, expediting, and management of both standard and complex purchase and service orders.
  • This role necessitates a strong customer-centric approach, with the capability to collaborate effectively with personnel across various departments including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other support functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the procurement of materials, equipment, and consumables by ensuring the appropriate procurement strategies are employed, such as bidding, contracting, ordering, and expediting.
  • Engages in negotiations with suppliers on behalf of the Business Unit concerning various commercial and operational issues related to orders, ensuring that all purchase and service orders include the correct terms and conditions.
  • Stays informed about advancements and best practices within the procurement and supply chain management fields.
  • Contributes to all Global Procurement initiatives, including e-Procurement, best practices in contracting, compliance, and the Investment Recovery and Inventory Management program.
  • Assists accounts payable operations by serving as a consultant on procurement-related matters, including resolving invoicing issues and directing them to the appropriate internal entities.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on procurement processes for materials and services, addressing vendor supply and invoicing challenges.
  • Oversees the MRP process in SAP and coordinates the repair of stock items as needed.
  • Manages strategic bulk purchases and informs end users of market demand fluctuations.
  • Supports the implementation of new processes or technologies as required.
  • Ensures compliance with all internal controls and implements audit recommendations without exception.
  • Addresses health, environmental, and safety risks associated with the role.
  • Assists warehouse staff with resolving goods receiving issues, expediting orders, and managing reorder points.
