Wood is inviting expressions of interest for a Procurement Specialist III to provide procurement expertise within our organization.

The Procurement Specialist III role is essential in delivering procurement support across the Business Unit, focusing on the placement, management, and administration of both standard and complex purchase and service orders. This position demands a strong customer orientation and the ability to collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders including Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other support functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Facilitate the procurement of materials, equipment, and consumables by employing appropriate procurement strategies such as bidding, contracting, and ordering.

● Engage in negotiations with suppliers on behalf of the Business Unit concerning various commercial and operational aspects of orders, ensuring that all purchase and service orders contain the correct terms and conditions.

● Stay informed about advancements and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

● Support all Global Procurement initiatives, including e-Procurement, best practices in contracting, compliance, and inventory management.

● Assist accounts payable processes by providing consultancy on procurement-related issues, including resolving invoicing discrepancies.

● Serve as a subject matter expert on procurement processes and systems, addressing vendor supply and invoicing challenges.

● Oversee the MRP process in SAP and coordinate the repair of stock items as necessary, while managing strategic bulk purchases and monitoring market demand fluctuations.

● Aid in the implementation of new processes or technologies as required.

● Ensure compliance with all internal controls and implement audit recommendations without exception.

● Manage health, environmental, and safety risks associated with the procurement activities.

● Collaborate with warehouse personnel to resolve issues related to goods receiving, ordering, and expediting.

QUALIFICATIONS

● Align & Inspire: Possess strong communication and influencing skills to manage relationships and align expectations among SCM Team members, Operations, and Suppliers. Ability to adjust priorities proactively as conditions evolve and assist stakeholders in doing the same. Demonstrate transparency through clear communication and timely information sharing.

● Build Relationships: Capable of establishing and maintaining productive relationships with Business Partners and Suppliers to enhance cost management, supply assurance, and process improvements.

● Grow Capabilities: Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of procurement disciplines and customer business objectives. Demonstrate a willingness to learn about business operations and supplier management while continuously seeking growth opportunities.

● Deliver Results: Actively engage with others to define desired outcomes and motivate teams towards achieving them. Balance risks and rewards to make timely decisions that positively impact the business. Propose solutions when challenges arise and collaborate with peers to utilize data-driven tools for effective decision-making.
