Mental Health Care Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Care Specialist to join our team at MaineGeneral Health. This role involves providing primary and acute healthcare services to patients with various mental health conditions, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assess patient needs, and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, prioritizing patient safety and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with case management, counseling, and primary care medical staff to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in individual or group-based MAT treatment services, promoting recovery and well-being.
