Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at the Center for Primary Care in Augusta, GA.

This part-time position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of physicians. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will contribute to the effectiveness of our healthcare team by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues, providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations, recommending options and courses of action, and implementing physician directives.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough interviews with patients to gather medical histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting test results.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive patient management plans to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Provide continuity of care through regular follow-ups and updates on patient progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
  • Three years of experience as a Family Medicine NP/PA, preferred.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • Current AANP, ANCC (NP), or NCCPA (PA) certification.
