Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist

EvergreenHealth is seeking a skilled Perinatal Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide assessment and treatment services to individuals with mental, emotional, or substance abuse problems during the perinatal period.
Responsibilities:- Screening and Referral: Provide information about community resources, referrals, and assistance with accessing services; Screen requests for service; assess to make initial determination of appropriate type and level of service needed.
- Assessment and Planning: Assess perinatal clients' psychosocial service needs and create a plan in collaboration with the patient and the interdisciplinary team.
- Crisis Intervention and Mental Health Services: Provide crisis intervention, mental health assessment, and services as referred or self-referred.
- Individual Counseling and Therapy: Provide individual counseling/therapy to perinatal patients with mild to moderate mental health symptoms.
- Consultation and Referral: Consult with clinical supervisor as needed regarding diagnosis, treatment plan, and clinical approach; Refer and advocate for clients to access community resources and services.
- Documentation and Billing: Ensure proper documentation and needed billing procedures are completed as directly associated with provider's interventions and assessments.
- Group Facilitation: Facilitate perinatal groups focused on psychoeducation and behavioral interventions.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: Master's degree in Social Work.
- Licensure: Active license as Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), PsyD, or other equivalent Mental Health Licensure in the State of Washington.
- Experience: Demonstrated knowledge about behavioral health, chemical dependency, and developmental stages; Verbal and written language skills, visual and aural skills in order to effectively communicate and provide a legal record of care.
- Accountability: Accountability for professional practice, commitment to patient care, and commitment to uphold the Patient Bill of Rights.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience providing clinical therapy; 1 year experience in a healthcare agency/environment.
- Certification and Training: Specific certification and/or training in CBT, DBT, EMDR, or other therapeutic interventions aimed at treating Mood Disorders, ADHD, PTSD, or ASD.
