Opportunity Overview
Fairfax Behavioral Health is seeking an Inpatient IM/FM Hospitalist to join our team at our Kirkland campus. As a Hospitalist, you will be responsible for conducting medical assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing medical education to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct medical assessments, initial H&Ps within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and patient discharges.
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement integrated treatment plans that address both mental health and medical issues.
- Participate in treatment team meetings to contribute insights into the patient's medical condition(s), discuss treatment options, and ensure that the overall care plan is comprehensive and cohesive.
- Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities during their length of stay, alongside Psychiatrists, other mental health providers, and support staff.
- Provide medical consults as needed in the General Adult units, Mission Resiliency Program (military, veterans, etc.), and Detox/SUD units.
Benefits and Compensation
The salary range for this position is $270,000-$310,000. We offer a robust benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, company-matched 401K, ST/LT disability, and more. Malpractice insurance is covered, and you will receive 25 days Paid Time Off annually, as well as 5 CME days + reimbursable expenses.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- BE/BC in Family Medicine (ABFM) or Internal Medicine (ABIM).
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Washington.
- Experience or interest in behavioral health and psychiatry is a plus.
