About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Group Therapist to join our Social Services Inpatient Team at Fairfax Behavioral Health. As a Group Therapist, you will play a vital role in creating treatment plans for patients and implementing the behavioral aspects of their treatment plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize group therapy interventions to provide treatment for patients, teaching skills, providing psychoeducation, and allowing for processing via evidenced-based practices.
  • Tailor the curriculum to work 1:1 with patients when needed.
  • Facilitate treatment team meetings to ensure all treatment plans are appropriately documented.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings as an integral professional, clinical member.
  • Conduct therapeutic, collaborative meetings with patients on their treatment plans.
  • Document in the medical record.

Qualifications:

A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental/behavioral health field is required, as well as the desire to help our patients improve their lives. You will need an unrestricted independent clinical license from the WA DOH (LICSW, LMHCA, or LMFT), as well as a minimum of 2 years of experience facilitating groups in a hospital or psychiatric setting.

All Fairfax employees must successfully pass the Handle With Care course completed during New Employee Orientation. A positive attitude and outlook will make you successful in this role.
