Your Mission

Your Role

As an NPI Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of next-generation De-escalation Devices. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading cross-functional teams to manage prototype builds and prepare production lines for mass manufacturing.
  • Collaborating with design and engineering teams to interpret product specifications for new product introductions.
  • Designing and developing control systems for manufacturing processes, including programming PLCs and designing HMIs.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate potential challenges.
  • Creating comprehensive documentation, including control system specifications and operating procedures.
  • Guiding the commissioning and validation of control systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Providing technical support to manufacturing teams during initial production runs.
  • Continuously enhancing control system designs to improve production efficiency and quality.
  • Tracking and managing all actions to ensure readiness for development builds.
  • Coordinating design efforts for automated equipment and assembly/test fixtures.
  • Creating build schedules and overseeing the execution of development builds.
  • Preparing and presenting reports to senior management.
  • Performing data analysis and interpreting test results.
  • Driving the development and coordination of Design of Experiments (DOE) during development builds.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in factory operations management or program management.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to unite teams towards common objectives.
  • Proactive and results-driven, capable of managing complex, multi-functional projects in a dynamic environment.

Compensation

At Axon, we believe in total compensation, which includes base pay, bonuses, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role varies based on geographic market and individual qualifications.
