VetJobs is actively seeking a Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven experience in crafting System Security Plans (SSP) along with all requisite Assessment and Authorization documentation, including Security Assessment Reports, SCTM's, and POA&M's.
Familiarity with eMASS and Service NOW (SNOW) for risk management and compliance automation.
Experience utilizing various system security assessment and hardening tools such as SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, and ACAS.
Trained and skilled in Assured File Transfer (AFT) protocols.
Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
Contributes effectively to the achievement of organizational goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team throughout the system development life cycle.
Possession of DoD Professional Certification meeting IAM Level I (e.g., Security + CE, CAP, GSLC).
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of NISPOM-DAAPM, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253.
Engagement with project leaders and other professionals within the Engineering department and project teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Salary Range:
USD $107,520.00/Yr. - USD $119,280.00/Yr. This estimate reflects the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. Actual compensation may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Additional Qualifications and Responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field in Science or Mathematics is required. Additionally, 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience is necessary.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is mandatory at the time of hire. Selected applicants will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
