Patient Transport Technician

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transport Technician to join our team at VCU Health. As a Patient Transport Technician, you will be responsible for transporting patients with medical equipment to and from various departments within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Transport patients with medical equipment to and from various departments within the hospital
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist with patient care as needed
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and well-being
- Operate medical equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently
- Document patient information and transport details accurately and thoroughly
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
