Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Transport Technician to join our team at VCU Health. As a Patient Transport Technician, you will be responsible for transporting patients with medical equipment to and from various departments within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients with medical equipment to and from various departments within the hospital
  • Respond to medical emergencies and assist with patient care as needed
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and well-being
  • Operate medical equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Document patient information and transport details accurately and thoroughly
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. The employee must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods. The employee must also be able to work in a variety of environments, including patient rooms, hallways, and outdoor areas.
