Key Responsibilities- Pre-visit planning and preparation
- Standard rooming responsibilities, including vital signs and medical history
- Assisting with procedures, including injections and phlebotomy
- Discharge instructions and patient education
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- One to two years of clinical experience, preferably in a medical office setting
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate)
- A graduate of a non-CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, Diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training
- Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT
- Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - NHA
