Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at Dental Care Alliance. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and satisfaction in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
• Welcomes and prepares patients for dental treatment, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Provides information and support to patients and colleagues, answering questions and requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assists dentists with instrumentation, suctioning, and passing instruments, ensuring a smooth and efficient treatment process.
• Prepares and delivers materials, including radiographic studies, study casts, and temporary restorations.
• Maintains patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
• Helps manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
• Educates patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions, promoting healthy habits and outcomes.
• Documents dental care services by charting in patient records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and protects operations by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Contributes to a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserves dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish job results.
• Stays current with professional knowledge and skills by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies.

Qualifications:

• X-ray license
• Experience working as a Dental Assistant or training from a formal Dental Assistant program
