POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are in search of a skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Compliance Monitoring Specialist who possesses a strong enthusiasm for cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and problem-solving within Software as a Service (SaaS) environments. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in dynamic and challenging settings, tackling intricate IT issues on a daily basis.

This position is flexible in terms of location, with a preference for candidates on the East Coast of the USA. The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer and will play a crucial role in supporting the Compliance Department. This position is vital to our innovative team, working on state-of-the-art cloud software and contributing to impactful projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Continuous Monitoring:

  • Assist in formulating and sustaining a comprehensive continuous monitoring strategy aligned with FedRAMP standards.
  • Configure and manage monitoring tools and technologies to ensure thorough oversight of cloud infrastructures.
  • Automate monitoring workflows to enhance compliance and reporting efficiency.

Security Assessments and Compliance:

  • Conduct regular security evaluations and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential risks.
  • Analyze security alerts and events to detect and respond to possible security incidents.
  • Ensure adherence to FedRAMP security protocols and maintain current documentation.
  • Support third-party security assessments from initiation through to completion.

Incident Response:

  • Assist in the upkeep of incident response plans and ensure preparedness for potential security events.
  • Lead and coordinate response efforts for security breaches and related incidents.
  • Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective measures to avert future occurrences.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Act as the primary author for updating, maintaining, and submitting the monthly FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring Package, including Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), Deviation Request Forms, and supporting evidence for POA&M closures.
  • Generate and present regular reports on security posture, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive documentation of security processes, procedures, and compliance activities.

Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate closely with Compliance and IT teams to ensure the seamless integration of security monitoring and compliance initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members regarding security best practices and FedRAMP requirements.
  • Stay informed about the latest security trends, threats, and compliance regulations to ensure proactive and compliant operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Cybersecurity or Compliance, particularly focused on cloud security.
  • Experience with FedRAMP compliance and continuous monitoring methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with SaaS security tools and technologies, including SIEM, compliance scanners, and vulnerability assessment tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in utilizing monitoring and automation tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, with a strong attention to detail.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or similar credentials are highly desirable.
