Job Summary:

Soccer Shots Twin Cities is seeking a highly motivated and organized Coaching Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our coaching staff, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our coaching team, evaluating and developing their skills, and ensuring the highest level of quality in our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of part-time coaches, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and check-ins with coaches to assess their performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our coaching team.
  • Provide coaches with the necessary resources and equipment to ensure a high-quality program.
  • Collaborate with the training coordinator to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new coaches.
  • Monitor and maintain program standards, ensuring that all coaches are held to the highest level of quality and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with directors and fellow coordinators to plan and implement seasonal programs and initiatives.
  • Coach up to 20 sessions per week, providing a positive and engaging experience for our young athletes.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, as well as the use of fingers, hands, and arms for keyboarding and phone work. The position may also require lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion. Excellent vision skills are required, and the standard office environment has moderate noise levels associated with computer equipment, customers, and phone conversations.

Work Schedule:

The expected working hours are 10:00am-7:00pm, Monday through Friday, with one Saturday per month. When working Saturday hours, working hours may be flexible.

Classification:

This is a full-time, salaried position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week, with additional hours sometimes needed to meet deadlines and goals.

Key Performance Measures:

  • Prompt, reliable, and professional communication with coaches, customers, supervisors, and other support staff.
  • Meeting weekly, seasonal, and annual timelines and deadlines, with a focus on developing and following systems to stay organized and efficient.
  • Meeting seasonal performance goals, with a focus on promoting the Soccer Shots brand and exceeding expectations.
  • Adhering to all company policies and representing Soccer Shots with professionalism and integrity.

  • Previous management or mentor experience of peers or coaches.
  • Able to manage, engage, and interact with up to ten 2-8 year-olds, with experience doing so.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience with the sport of soccer.
  • Experience with Google Suite.

Additional Requirements:

A successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.
