Position Overview:

The Enterprise Application Architect is responsible for steering the architectural strategy, standards, modeling, design, and governance of enterprise applications. This role entails crafting application architecture roadmaps and providing essential guidance for application evolution initiatives, utilizing established standards and frameworks. The architect collaborates across various functions to implement scalable and robust application architecture solutions tailored for System Soft Technologies' enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, sustain, and articulate enterprise application architecture roadmaps, principles, standards, governance frameworks, and models, presenting them effectively to stakeholders.

2. Work in close partnership with lead application developers across web, mobile, and set-top platforms to enhance architecture for emerging application initiatives.

3. Collaborate with product owners, enterprise architects, analysts, and solution architects on design documentation, vision articulation, gap analysis, and tactical solution development.

4. Mentor and guide development teams on best practices in application design, distributed system scaling techniques, integration of release processes, and feature flag management.

5. Ensure that enterprise methodologies are scalable, secure, highly available, and flexible during the architecture review board, modeling, and design phases.

6. Design and collaborate on application business flows, customer experiences, and testability aspects of applications.

7. Engage in the selection process, RFPs, and POCs for strategic initiatives that align with the feature roadmaps.

8. Stay abreast of application architecture best practices and trends, advocating for decoupling through microservices, domain-driven design, and micro-front-end implementations.

9. Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.

10. Execute additional functions as required, ensuring the efficient flow of work within System Soft Technologies.

Required Skills:


• Proficient in designing and optimizing mobile, web, and set-top applications.


• Extensive experience in architecting custom applications from inception through front-end and back-end layers, with a comprehensive understanding of inter-layer implications.


• Skilled in designing KPIs and measuring application performance through real user monitoring.


• Familiar with feature flag management and its implementation across application layers.


• Hands-on experience with technologies such as React, Java, JavaScript, GraphQL, Swift, Kotlin, and Kafka.


• Knowledgeable in modern architectural patterns and practices, including domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, microservices, micro-frontends, and distributed systems.


• Understanding of application integration patterns and techniques, including integration with platforms like Salesforce, Tableau, ERP systems, and AWS Cloud.


• Strong communication skills to convey complex application flows to stakeholders.


• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset to identify potential challenges.


• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and TOGAF methodologies.


• Proficient in coaching, facilitation, and conflict resolution.


• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.

Preferred Education:


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Preferred Experience:


• At least 5 years in a lead application development role within an enterprise environment.


• Experience in a software product development company.


• 6-10 years of experience in an Application Solutions Architect capacity.
