Senior Enterprise Solutions Consultant

As a Senior Enterprise Solutions Consultant, you will serve as the key technical advisor for our Enterprise Accounts team. Your role will involve sharing your product knowledge and technical expertise through engaging presentations, product showcases, and technical assessments (Proof Of Values). Acting as the technical authority, you will collaborate with clients to comprehend their needs and challenges, subsequently crafting tailored solutions that align with their business objectives. Throughout the sales process, you will assist clients in navigating trials and POVs, showcasing Sumo Logic's capacity to fulfill and surpass their expectations while fostering a positive rapport that ensures ongoing value for our customers. Additionally, you will have the chance to collaborate across departments with our Product Management and Engineering teams, sharing insights and experiences to enhance our offerings and drive customer success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Account Executives / Account Managers to identify customer challenges and articulate Sumo Logic's value proposition, vision, and strategy effectively.
  • Successfully close intricate opportunities by leveraging advanced competitive insights, technical expertise, and credibility.
  • Guide all stages of the sales process, including leading technical validations during the Proof of Value phase.
  • Engage effectively with all organizational levels, from executives to individual developers and Site Reliability Engineers.
  • Deliver compelling product and technical demonstrations of the Sumo Logic service.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Management and Engineering to refine the Sumo Logic service based on customer interactions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, Support Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or Software Developer with a focus on customer engagement.
  • Hands-on experience with security-related products, technologies, and sources such as IDS/IPS, SIEM/Log Management, Network/Endpoint Security, Threat Detection, Incident Response, MSSP/MDR, Threat Feeds, CASB, etc.
  • Familiarity with open-source collection tools (Telegraf, FluentBit, FluentD, Open Telemetry, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience in leading and conducting technical validations like Proof of Value is preferred.
  • Proficiency in selling and working with pure SaaS solutions in multi-tenant environments.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure (certification preferred).
  • A comprehensive understanding of technical infrastructure (servers, networking devices, storage, etc.).
  • Knowledge of modern application architecture (micro-services, containers) and experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Lambda is preferred.
  • Familiarity with various monitoring tools like Splunk, Datadog, Elastic, New Relic, etc. is preferred.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment, with experience in a successful startup being preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong business and technical acumen.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $126,000 - $169,000. Compensation may vary based on various factors, including role level, skills, qualifications, knowledge, location, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonus or commission plans, benefits offerings, and equity awards.
