Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team at Jobot. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity to apply your skills and expertise in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. They will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures, ensuring that our financial data is accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage all financial records, including sales, receipts, purchases, and payments.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt monthly and quarterly closes.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Record and track fixed assets, including depreciation.
  • Conduct regular ledger reviews to maintain accuracy.
  • Analyze financial data and create financial forecasts for future business growth.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis for financial planning and decision making.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Interact with management team and other staff members in performing job duties.
  • Develop and implement improvements for accounting systems and processes.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
  • Extensive experience with QuickBooks and general ledger functions.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in preparing journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, and financial statement preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing monthly closes and preparing financial reports.
  • Proven skills in forecasting and budgeting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in working with auditors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is preferred.
