Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Financial Record Specialist to become a vital part of our energetic team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing our financial documentation, which encompasses transactions related to purchases, sales, receipts, and disbursements. Responsibilities will include overseeing daily financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial information. The Financial Record Specialist will also engage in strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, in addition to preparing comprehensive reports for upper management. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain all financial documentation, including sales, receipts, purchases, and disbursements.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial closures.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to guarantee precise reporting and ledger upkeep.
- Record and monitor fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.
- Conduct regular ledger assessments to uphold accuracy.
- Analyze financial data and develop forecasts for future business expansion.
- Execute cost-benefit analyses for financial planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit outcomes and compliance.
- Engage with management and other team members in executing job responsibilities.
- Innovate and implement enhancements for accounting systems and processes.
- Undertake additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial record management or a similar field.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Extensive experience with accounting software and general ledger operations.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience in preparing journal entries, managing accounts payable and receivable, and generating financial statements.
- Demonstrated capability in managing monthly financial closures and producing financial reports.
- Proven expertise in forecasting and budgeting.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating with auditors.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with care.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
