Technology Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technology Associate to join our team at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. As a key member of our instructional support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective use of technology to enhance student learning.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to students, teachers, and staff on the use of technology in the classroom and beyond.
- Assist with the implementation of computer-assisted instructional programs and ensure seamless integration with existing technology infrastructure.
- Collaborate with teachers and technology staff to select resources that align with school technology standards.
- Monitor and assist students in the use of technology, providing guidance on digital citizenship and online safety.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school technology equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Facilitate school participation in technology programs and activities, promoting a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including teachers, staff, students, and parents, to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Associate degree in education, technology, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements applicable to school system technology.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Valid driver's license or ability to provide own transportation.
This is a full-time, 10-month position that requires occasional exertion of up to twenty pounds of force. The work environment is generally moderately noisy, and the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions is essential.
