The Office Operations Secretary will oversee a variety of administrative tasks related to the efficient management of laboratory test results. This role involves coordinating specimen collection and ensuring a safe and organized environment within the laboratory setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently process and distribute laboratory test results
  • Receive and prioritize phone orders for laboratory tests
  • Adhere to laboratory safety regulations
  • Organize and retrieve patient test documentation
  • Communicate laboratory results to medical professionals
  • Manage inventory and procure laboratory supplies
  • Address various phone inquiries regarding laboratory tests and protocols
  • Maintain databases and ensure reports reach the appropriate personnel
  • Utilize office equipment such as computers and fax machines
  • Assist with blood collection tasks as needed
  • Complete assignments with precision and efficiency
  • Foster a collaborative work atmosphere within the laboratory
  • Stay updated on changes in laboratory operations
  • Engage in training opportunities to enhance professional knowledge

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • At least 1 year of experience in clerical or secretarial roles
  • Basic clerical skills and proficiency in computer usage
