Job Summary

Loc Performance is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for utilizing engineering methodology to support program launch readiness, production planning, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, maintain, and control engineering documentation, including TDP, Bill of Material, Process Flow/Routings, Floor Layouts, PFMEA, and Work Instructions.
  • Provide support to estimating on quoting and develop and validate processes and processing times/standards.
  • Support lessons learned activities and implementation into quotes and standards, and identify tooling needs and assist in tool conceptualization.
  • Support manufacturing with process and document interpretation, identify and address opportunities to eliminate waste within the manufacturing process, and participate in cost reduction efforts and support/implement continuous improvement activities.
  • Work with Quality and Weld departments to ensure validation checks are built into the process, support corrective actions as required, and support Program Management in APQP activities and project cost adherence.
  • Consult with customers and provide expertise to maximize the integrity, efficiency, and manufacturability of designs on new and existing projects, and provide floor support during trouble shooting activities.
  • Assist with customer activities/support as requested, and possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints, models, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Extensive working knowledge of manufacturing practices in a diverse range of processes, GD&T experience required, and extensive knowledge of process flows, material flow, assistive tooling devices.
  • Project management experience preferred, excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced and varying environment.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment, proficient in Microsoft Office software, and proficiency in 3D modeling software preferred.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving tools and methodology to a variety of manufacturing and business process issues.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other engineering field and five (5) years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2+ years of fabrication/machining and metal experience along with program/project management experience preferred, experience with precision measuring equipment helpful, and military background or experience preferred but not required.
