Japanese OEM Program Manager

We are seeking an experienced Japanese OEM Program Manager to support our operations in the Plymouth, MI area.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' work experience in project / engineering management, technical sales, preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position with occasional visits to customer sites on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain documentation regarding project status, engineering changes, product information, etc.
- Communicate with customers regarding projects and provide status updates
- Creation of department / project activity reports for internal use
- Act as point of contact for customers to address any urgent questions, requests, or issues
- Projecting potential inventory, material, and manpower needs for projects
- Assist with budget planning and cost reduction analysis
- Coordinate and participate in meetings with internal employees and customers regarding project status
- Responsible for the whole process for program launch including product development
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in a Mechanical Engineering field, OR in Business Administration is preferred
- Minimum 1-3 years' work experience in Automotive Sales, Program Management, Applications Engineering, or Technical Sales with Toyota or Honda
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication ability in a multicultural environment
- Organizational and time management ability
- Up to 20% business travel may be required
