Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Automation Engineer to join our team at Hire Military Talent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, testing, and supervising control, electrical, and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop control systems and instrumentation equipment, including electrical control panels.
  • Conduct analytical assessments and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Lead projects independently, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning tasks, providing technical support as needed.
  • Modify and upgrade existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Familiarity with PLC/SCADA software, including Siemens Step 7/WinCC/TIA Portal and Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley RSLogix5000.
  • Background in computer programming, with experience in languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • Understanding of hazardous area equipment and installation requirements, including ATEX, IECEx, NEC, NFPA, and DNV standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in electrical engineering and automation.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in various computer skills, including MS-Office Suite and CAD design software.
