We are seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Automation Engineer to join our team at Hire Military Talent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, specifying, and testing control systems, electrical panels, and automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop control systems, including electrical control panels, and automation equipment.
- Conduct analytical assessments and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Lead projects independently, providing technical guidance and support to team members.
- Assist with installation and commissioning tasks, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Modify and upgrade existing systems to meet evolving business needs.
- Familiarity with PLC/SCADA software, including Siemens Step 7/WinCC/TIA Portal and Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley RSLogix5000.
- Background in computer programming, with experience in languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
- Understanding of hazardous area equipment and installation requirements, including ATEX, IECEx, NEC, NFPA, and DNV, ABS, API, and MODU codes/standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in electrical controls and automation.
- Strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, co-workers, and management.
- Proactive problem-solving approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Proficiency in various computer skills, including MS-Office Suite and CAD design software.
