Job Overview:

We are in search of a talented and imaginative Lead Pastry Artisan to guide our vibrant bakery team. In this role, you will be instrumental in producing top-notch, entirely from-scratch pastries and breads for our various culinary operations.

Your responsibilities will include upholding our high standards for pastry quality, mentoring team members, planning menus, managing costs, and shaping the overall vision of our pastry offerings.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:
Oversee and inspire a dedicated bakery team, ensuring effective collaboration to achieve production targets. Provide mentorship and support to cultivate a positive and productive work atmosphere.

Menu Innovation:
Design seasonal pastry menus that reflect our brand ethos and cater to customer preferences. Create bespoke desserts for special occasions and promotional events.

Talent Acquisition:
Lead the recruitment process by interviewing candidates and selecting skilled individuals to build a motivated and capable team. Encourage professional development among team members.

Recipe Creation:
Develop and enhance pastry and bread recipes while effectively managing ingredient costs. Strive for excellence in flavor, presentation, and overall quality.

Quality Control:
Implement rigorous quality assurance measures to ensure all products meet our exceptional standards. Regularly assess the freshness, taste, and visual appeal of pastries and breads.

Cost Management:
Track ingredient inventory, analyze costs, and devise strategies to optimize efficiency while maintaining product excellence.

Collaboration:
Work in partnership with other departments to align with company-wide objectives and contribute to the overall culinary vision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Lead Pastry Artisan in a high-volume, scratch-based bakery or similar environment.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
Creativity and a knack for developing innovative pastry recipes.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
