Job Overview

The Patient Enrollment Specialist plays a crucial role in guiding patients through the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition from initial contact to timely order fulfillment. This position involves proactive follow-up on necessary documentation such as prescriptions, diagnosis codes, and copay approvals, while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Onboarding:

  • Conduct outbound communications utilizing system-generated enrollment files, ensuring compliance with specific plan requirements and company policies.
  • Manage inbound calls, adhering to established guidelines and documentation standards.
  • Welcome new patients to the Conversio community through effective communication and support.
  • Respond to inquiries via voicemails and emails related to enrollment and intake processes.
  • Follow up on prescriptions and coordinate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary medical records.
  • Perform courtesy calls to patients to ensure all items required for shipment are gathered.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, representatives, and healthcare providers to facilitate prescription requests.
  • Ensure timely completion of intake documentation to support ongoing patient service after onboarding.

Information Management:

  • Participate in regular training sessions and departmental meetings as requested by management.
  • Identify and document patient issues or complaints, escalating to management as necessary.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with management, colleagues, and external vendors.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding all patient and company information.
  • Embrace and promote the company's mission, vision, and core values.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED with three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office Suite, with a capacity to learn new software quickly.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain reliable attendance and a consistent level of service.
  • Self-motivated with a talent for engaging with consumers in a service-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Medical/Healthcare Interpreter (CMI) is a plus.
  • Experience in a call center environment, particularly in healthcare or insurance.
  • Telephonic customer service experience with a focus on education and support.
  • Background in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales is advantageous.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
