Purchasing Database Administrator

As a Purchasing Database Administrator at Neal Communities, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our purchasing systems. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with various departments, including Construction, Purchasing, Design, and Sales, to provide accurate and timely support for BuildPro and NewStar systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with department associates to ensure BuildPro schedules, integration, and processes are performing efficiently.
• Identify potential training and process issues with trade partners and work with the responsible parties to resolve them.
• Review system and error reports daily to ensure there are no integration issues.
• Assist with ongoing training sessions for Neal Communities and trade partners.
• Elevate questions, concerns, and systematic issues to IT for review and resolution.
• Provide accurate and timely support to various departments for BuildPro and NewStar systems.
• Set up trade partners in Hyphen Solutions and maintain BuildPro templates for new and existing communities.
• Ensure the system maintains correct information by acting as a liaison between departments and IT.
• Assist in testing, upgrading, and implementing existing applications and new phases of existing applications.
• Train new business users and peers on application use and technical aspects.
• Develop and deliver progress reports and application documentation as needed.
• Develop best practices and tools for application execution and support.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Purchasing Systems Administration required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications at an intermediate level required; advanced proficiency preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience with NewStar and BuildPro required.
• Ability to collaborate well with a team, take direction, and stay detail-oriented.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize performance measures and drive cost savings.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to organize, schedule, and prioritize work to meet objectives and deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
• General sedentary work requiring the use of office equipment.
• Position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, grasping, writing, typing, and repetitive motions.
• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
