Kidney Specialist Physician for Partnership Track

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Kidney Specialist to join our team of 5 nephrologists at NorthShore University HealthSystem.
This is a partnership track position with no buy-in required, offering a unique opportunity for growth and development within our group.
The ideal candidate will establish a busy office practice and cover acute hospital consults on alternating weeks, working in collaboration with our medical team.
As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides high-quality medical patient care through thorough examinations, treatments, and consultations.
- Educates patients on wellness, prevention, and early detection strategies, providing materials and resources as needed.
- Collaborates with other physicians to ensure comprehensive healthcare services and availability of a physician at all times.
- Determines referral requirements based on examination findings and patient needs.
- Establishes urgency levels for follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Exercises final medical judgment in all health care matters.
- Prescribes medical treatment and clinical drugs to patients.
- Orders studies, tests, and ancillary services as necessary.
- Documents all services in patient medical records.
- Reviews long-term cases requiring ongoing medical attention.
- Consults with Medical Director and other professionals as needed on patient care, assessment, and education issues.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and other patient care programs established by the hospital or clinic.
- Oversees mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff as assigned.
- Assists in resolving complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients.
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations.
- Participates in teaching sessions for other hospital staff, residents, and medical students as assigned.
Requirements:
- MD Medicine Required.
- Current DEA and all other required licenses related to specialty.
Compensation and Benefits:
