Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Heart Coordinator to join our team at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients with mechanical heart devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the care of patients with mechanical heart devices, including ventricular assist devices (VADs) and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on mechanical heart device management and care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse license.
  • At least 5 years of experience in acute, ambulatory, or clinic nursing, with a focus on cardiovascular care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of recent experience in critical care or transplant nursing.
