Job Summary

The Assistant Store Manager at Tapestry, Inc. is a key member of the store team, responsible for delivering sales results through employee development and mentorship. This role requires a high level of business acumen, strategic thinking, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Service:

  1. Drive Sales Growth: Develop sales strategies, initiatives, and growth across all categories, and communicate goals to the team to achieve sales results.
  2. Clienteling: Develop a clienteling strategy, implement, and monitor over time to achieve business goals and objectives in partnership with the Store Manager.
  3. Customer Focus: Act as a brand ambassador in the market/mall to drive loyalty and business, and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
  4. Team Development: Develop team members to build long-term relationships with customers to drive business.

Operations:

  1. Performance Management: Evaluate performance of all team members, provide consistent and timely feedback, and create action plans for continuous development in partnership with the Store Manager.
  2. Operational Efficiency: Manage daily operational tasks according to Coach standards, including selling and service expectations, operations, payroll, human resources, and loss prevention.
  3. Strategic Planning: Demonstrate strong business acumen, strategically forecast, plan, and budget to meet the needs of the business.

Additional Requirements

Experience: 1 to 3 years of previous management experience in a luxury retail service environment is preferable.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is preferred.

Technical: Proficient with MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and experience using retail systems (i.e., labor management, inventory systems, sales reporting, etc.).

Physical: Ability to execute at a fast pace, communicate effectively with customers and team, and maneuver the sales floor, sales shelves, and stock room.
