Heavy Equipment Crane Operator

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Crane Operator plays a vital role in managing the crane operations that facilitate the movement of materials within the facility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties are essential to the role and may include additional responsibilities as assigned:
- Operate forklifts to transport heavy materials within and outside of buildings.
- Utilize cranes to load and secure heavy materials onto transport vehicles.
- Effectively move materials as required throughout the facility using crane equipment.
- Package and prepare materials for safe delivery to both internal and external clients.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to fulfill material requests promptly.
- Conduct weekly cycle counts of inventory as necessary.
- Manage the tracking and transfer of materials within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Provide training to backup crane operators as needed.
- At least two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Possession of a valid Forklift License.
- Possession of a valid Crane License.
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational credential.
- Internal Communication: Interaction with colleagues to explain information and gather necessary data, which may involve sensitive topics.
- External Communication: Limited external engagement to collect information or respond to inquiries.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions and correspondence. Proficient in interpreting safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Decision-Making: Minimal decision-making responsibilities are required.
- Problem Solving: Tasks are generally routine, requiring the ability to follow established instructions.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent activities include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and visual tasks. Occasional activities may involve climbing, bending, and lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.
- Non-Physical Requirements: Occasional tasks may involve analysis, communication, and sustained mental effort.
- Environmental Conditions: Occasional exposure to dust, temperature variations, and loud environments.
- Work Schedule: Standard shift hours with infrequent overtime or weekend work.
- Work Demands: Potential stress due to deadlines or workload fluctuations.
